Our expertise and innovations in aluminum
Design office
For a part to be achievable in a foundry, it must meet a certain number of technical requirements. Our design office will be able to provide you with our know-how and experience in order to guide you in the design of your parts to make them achievable and economically efficient.
We develop our tools using high-performance software ( Solidworks v2024, etc.). We are able to read all 3D and can provide you with studies in the most common formats.
We work with a panel of toolmakers specialized in the production of molds in order to guarantee you the best possible parts and deadlines.
Aluminum Foundry
Our multidisciplinary team, combining Charles Lauzier's historical know-how with innovation, will be able to meet your most technical needs for parts ranging from a few grams to 7kg.

3 alloys are standardized at Charles Lauzier
AlSi12 (AS12)
Alloy particularly suitable for parts with thin and uniform walls (< or = 3mm, possibility of going down to 1mm locally on small areas). It will be perfectly suited to your cladding parts, not requiring any particular mechanical characteristics.
AlSi7Mg (AS7)
Alloy particularly suitable for parts requiring high mechanical characteristics (alloy requiring a heat treatment of quenching + tempering to have an optimal mechanical resistance). Its flowability is lower compared to AS12, it is therefore more suitable for parts of high thickness (> 4mm)
AlSi13MgCU (AS13GU)
A good compromise between AS12 and AS7, this alloy historically developed by Charles Lauzier, has a castability close to AS12, but it can also undergo heat treatment to obtain characteristics close to those of AS7.
COMPLETION
Charles Lauzier is integrated into finishing solutions including finishing operations:
- Cutting
- Grinding / deburring
- Thermal treatment
- Tribo-finishing / Polishing
Thermal treatment
Heat treatment of aluminium castings is an essential process to improve the quality and properties of the finished parts, increasing their strength, hardness and durability. We have two quenching furnaces and three tempering ovens operating continuously.
Tribo-finishing / polishing
Tribofinishing is a surface finishing process that uses abrasive blocks to rub and shock the parts in a vibrating machine. Brightening is similar to tribofinishing, the abrasives are replaced by stainless steel balls coupled with a stripping product. A shiny finish is obtained on the treated parts.

Assembly / ASSEMBLY
We are able to offer you solutions for assembling foundry assemblies (crimping, assembly of axes, screwed assemblies, etc.). We have several presses and crimping stations for this purpose.
Our mechanical workshop allows great flexibility in adapting to series assemblies .

Quality control
We are committed to providing you with finished parts that meet your requirements. A robust quality management system has been in place since 2006 ( ISO 9001 version 2015 certification ).
The standardization of our production means allows us to constantly improve our efficiency in order to provide you with a complete quality service. As a result, our production means are integrated into most phases of our process and continuous monitoring is ensured by technical sheets at each station.
